Refinancing

A maturity is approaching, the bank pool is saturated or covenants are tightening? We prepare the refinancing before it becomes urgent.

Anticipate rather than react

A refinancing is prepared several months ahead. The closer the maturity, the more the balance of power shifts to lenders. A bank leaving the pool, a covenant at risk or growth outpacing available lines are signals to address early.

We review every option: renegotiation with existing lenders, new lenders joining, partial replacement by asset-backed finance or private debt.

The levers

Renegotiation

Extending maturity, adjusting amortisation or covenants with existing lenders.

Widening the pool

Bringing in new lenders to replace those stepping back.

Asset-backed finance

Freeing up capacity by financing inventory, receivables or equipment separately.

Private debt

Replacing all or part of the debt with more flexible funding.

Timing

A backward plan that secures the maturity and keeps room for manoeuvre.

Confidentiality

A targeted approach to lenders, without broad circulation of the file.

Our approach

1

Assessment

Need, timing, assets and existing commitments: we measure what can be financed and on what terms.

2

Funder file

A clear file, prepared once, in the format specialist funders expect.

3

Targeted approach

We approach the funders that fit your situation, without broad circulation.

4

Set-up and follow-up

Terms, security, documentation, timing: we follow the set-up through to first drawdown.

Youllsee advises and does not lend: we prepare your file and present it to the right funders, alongside your bank partners.

Frequently asked questions

When should we start?

Ideally six to twelve months before maturity, or as soon as a covenant issue or a bank exit appears.

Should existing banks be informed?

Yes, at the right time and with a prepared message. The relationship with existing lenders remains an asset in the negotiation.

Can only part of the debt be refinanced?

Yes. A partial refinancing, for instance moving inventory or receivables out of bank lines, is sometimes enough.

Which documents are needed?

Historical accounts, forecast, schedule of debt and security, existing loan agreements.

Is your next maturity secured?
